Power Stroker !

This past summer, I finally purchased a pickup truck.   I have wanted a pick-up truck for the past 10 years even before Jocelyn and I got married.  However, I could not afford it and they did not have a lot of pick-up trucks that had two seats as these only became popular in the later part of the 1990's.

For you  reference, I have also posted a page about my other favorite cars that I have liked, but never purchased.  I even wrote a couple of pages about my two best friends, and their respective car selection which is much different than me.

I also pull  our 31 foot trailer and a 24 foot boat often and I wanted to make sure I had plenty of power.  Our Suburban could pull the load, but  since it is Jocelyn's car I would often spend hours cleaning it up after camping or after boating.

So I wanted to get the biggest, meanest truck in the market.  I have great respect for Dodge and Chevy, but for me the F350, Power Stroke Diesel was the way to go.

I call it PowerStroker !

I like the lights on the top since they give me that real "big rig" feel.

Yeah, baby, F350.

That is well over 1 ton of hauling capacity.  This ain't no grocery bag hauler.

Power Stroke !

560 lbs of torque means I can accelerate up the steepest of inclines with my trailer in tow.  It also gets great gas mileage (14 MPG) pulling which is about 100% better than my Suburban.

8 foot box  - I can stuff it full of crap: bikes, practically a  face cord of  firewood, toys, and even that 8 foot sheet of plywood that eveyone always talks about when referencing bed size.

DVD system - nice for the kids to keep them quiet on our "long" trips into Wisconsin

Off road - needed for the curve from my street to the driveway

Extended mirrors, Prodigy brake controller (the best) and, of course, my Hensley hitch (also be best).

If anyone bumps into me with this thing sticking out, I can assure you there will be massive radiator damage for them.
